The shift

The long life is already here.

By 2050, one in five Indians will be over sixty. The question is no longer how long we live. It is how strong and resilient our bodies stay while we do.

Protein, after thirty

Protein to stay strong and resilient.

After thirty, protein does more of the holding up. It is in almost everything the body does.

Builds and repairsMuscle, skin, bone and tendons. Every cell uses protein to renew itself and heal.
Keeps the systems runningEnzymes that digest food, hormones such as insulin, and blood proteins that keep fluids in balance.
Defends and carriesAntibodies that fight infection, haemoglobin that carries oxygen, carriers for vitamins and minerals.

Enough of it helps keep muscle, strength and everyday independence. Too little, and muscle loss speeds up.

The old ways are failing

What we relied on is no longer enough.

Animal protein asks a lot.

Whey comes from milk, and many whey powders carry lactose. In a multicentre Indian study, two in three South Indians and one in four North Indians were lactose intolerant. At planet scale, meat and dairy use 83% of farmland while supplying 37% of the world's protein.

Tandon et al., AJCN, 1981 · Poore & Nemecek, Science, 2018

The plate has changed.

We lean on cereals for protein, and cereals are thinning. Wheat grown at the CO₂ levels expected mid-century carried about 6% less protein and 9% less zinc.

CEEW, 2025 · Myers et al., Nature, 2014

Built for the short term.

Most protein powders were designed for a training block: sweet, heavy, sold by grams per scoop. Daily use for decades needs something gentler, and proof that it is what it says.

Phillips et al., Medicine, 2024
What we are making

A daily protein built for the long life.

Not a supplement for a season. A quiet daily habit, made to be taken for decades, with strength as a side-effect of care.

Fermented, plant-based yeast protein

Complete, vegan, dissolves smoothly. 24 g protein in every 30 g sachet.

Flavours that don't grow old

Chocolate and filter coffee first. Kesar & elaichi and haldi coming soon. Low sweetness, never cloying.

The Purity Passport

How it arrives

Questions

What is fermented, plant-based yeast protein?

A complete protein made by fermenting yeast. It is vegan and dissolves smoothly. [Supplier and digestibility score.] The Journal has a full article on the evidence.

Why sachets and a jar?

Each serving stays sealed until you open it, and there is nothing to measure. The ceramic jar keeps a month of sachets together on your counter, and you keep it.

Is it vegan?

Yes. No dairy, no honey, nothing from animals, in any flavour.

What does it cost?

The pack of 30 is ₹2,999 a month (MRP ₹3,400); founders pay ₹2,699 for their first year. The pack of 90 is ₹8,549 every three months (MRP ₹10,200), which works out cheaper per month; founders pay ₹7,899 for their first year.

When does it ship?

[Month 2027]. You will hear from us before anything else is charged.

When do I pay the rest?

About two weeks before we ship, we'll send you a payment link for the balance. Your ₹500 is already counted towards your first box. If you decide not to go ahead, we refund the ₹500 instead.

Can I get my ₹500 back?

Yes, any time before we ship. One message, no guilt trip, no fourteen-step form.

When you get enough

  • Muscle and strength hold longer.Adequate protein is one of the main defences against age-related muscle loss.PROT-AGE, 2013
  • Lower risk of frailty.Across 17 studies of 46,469 older adults, higher protein intake was linked to lower frailty risk.Coelho-Junior et al., Nutrients, 2022
  • Fuller for longer.Higher-protein meals raise fullness, and help keep muscle while losing weight.Leidy et al., AJCN, 2015
  • Bones may benefit.Intakes above the minimum may modestly help bone density. The evidence is mixed.Wallace & Frankenfeld, JACN, 2017

When it falls short

  • Muscle goes faster.Loss of muscle mass, strength and function (sarcopenia) speeds up when protein is low.Volpi et al., 2004
  • Everyday strength slips.Climbing stairs, carrying bags, getting up from the floor: the small things go first.Cruz-Jentoft et al., 2019
  • Recovery takes longer.Needs rise during illness, to 1.2–1.5 g per kg a day for older adults.PROT-AGE, 2013
  • Dieting costs muscle.Cutting calories without enough protein loses more lean mass along with fat.Leidy et al., AJCN, 2015

About

Why we are building this

We want strength in later life to be ordinary, not lucky. That starts with getting enough good protein, every day, for decades, in a form people actually look forward to.

Who is behind it

Our roots

Born out of Samudra Network.

The Longevity Project is an offshoot of Samudra Network, which builds digital tools for farmer collectives and fairer, more transparent agricultural value chains. That is where our habit of tracing food back to its source comes from, and why every batch we make will carry its own Purity Passport.

What we have done so far

Listened

Surveyed households about how they eat, what they lack and what they would pay for, then ran sampling rounds.

Read the research

Studied what protein does after thirty, and published our reading with sources in the Journal.

Started making

Working with food scientists and manufacturers on formulation, flavour and testing.

What we won't do

  • Claim what we can't show.If the research is early, we say so.
  • Hide anything in the sachet.Every ingredient listed, with the reason it is there.
  • Skip a test.Every batch tested, and the results published.
  • Sell you a twelve-week plan. This is meant for years, so it has to be gentle enough for years.
